St Patrick's Day event do not cover St Patrick's Day?
According to ingame announcement this year event won't cover St Pactrick's day. Why?
I know that some one can't stand one more day of ales and clovers but the lucky weekend could be done in the next weekend. Eg. starting at Wednesday to Sunday (ending like every normal weekend). It would take one day less than now (exactly like year ago,; one day more than two years ago) but it would cover St Patrick's Day. Why, oh Why? |

i lol'd at that. also because they have a very precise schedule they have to go by. Now im sure they COULD do the event next weekend, but this would require some coding that is deffinatley beyond a weeks worth for any( and all) ArenaNet's team ;D(harsh but we all know its true ^_^)

The Tyrian holiday which features ale and shamrocks is close to, but not the same as, the Terran St.Patrick's day.

And really, I dont get the OP's heartache. Its nice to be able to celebrate a holiday in RL, and celebrate along in game at a different date. Even if you start it on Wednesday and go thru to sunday, no true Irish man or woman will be even done celebrating until probably.....mondayish ...soooo? I think honestly...with all the update issues...sc'ing "nerfs"...pvp overlooks...the bugs that never get fixed...and so on.. This should be the last straw!!! No lucky weekend actually on St Pats day?????? I quit and You'll never hear GW2 come out of my mouth!! Pfffff! |

If the event covered St. Patrick's Day, people would complain that they couldn't play because they had some RL commitments. There really is no pleasing everyone all the time.

It really is a secret conspiracy by us Polish people to take over St Patricks Day.
Step: 1. Confuse everyone (and ourselves) when the date really is and when celebrations should occur. Step 2. Replace Corned Beef and Cabbage with Kishka and Kolackies. Step 3. Replace Green Beer with Red Vodka. Step 4. Replace St Patrick with St. John Cantius who is well known for giving his garments away to the poor. Step 5. Wake up in the gutter, naked, covered in red vomit and polish cookies. Step 6. Try again next year. |

Right but no lucky weekend????? WHY? My Lucky title is unaffected by the lucky title.
OH and get this 4-leaf-clovers drop in PRESEARING.. there is NO death Penalty in PRESEARING.. so.. you can not even use them.. Not so lucky if you only play in Presearing |

St Patrick's day is my birthday. With irish grandparents i'll be doing something far less constructive than playing Guild Wars.
As will anybody of legal drinking age. ...Possibly those not, also. |
